What is Battlefield Mode?
Battlefield Mode is a fast-paced tournament-style game mode where players battle in elimination rounds until only one champion remains. Think of it as a compact, high-stakes competition where strategic deck-building and sharp gameplay make all the difference.
- Draft Decks on the Spot: Players create a new deck for every tournament, leveling the playing field and encouraging creative strategies.
- Win Big Rewards: A share of the prize pool is awarded to the top 50% of players, with a special consolation prize for those who don’t make the cut.
How Battlefield works: Step-by-Step
Here’s a quick guide to how the action unfolds in Battlefield Mode:
1. Joining a room
- Choose a Battlefield Room to join based on its size and entry fee (details below).
- Pay the entry fee to secure your spot.
- The entry fees from all players form the prize pool, adding an extra layer of excitement to the competition.
2. Tournament begins
- Once the room is full, the tournament kicks off.
3. Drafting Your Deck
- Players build their decks using the Draft Method:
- You’ll be presented with three random cards and must pick one.
- You’ll have 5 seconds to make a choice of card, otherwise it will be selected randomly.
- Repeat this process until you’ve drafted a 24-card deck.
- This ensures a fair start for everyone, with no pre-built decks or unfair advantages.
4. Knockout Battles
- Players are matched randomly in the first round.
- Winners advance to the next round, while the defeated players are eliminated.
- The process continues until only one player remains — the Battlefield Champion!
5. Rewards Distribution
- The prize pool is divided among the top 50% of players, with higher rankings earning bigger shares.
- Players who didn’t make it into the prize pool will receive a consolation prize in Elytronite, so everyone walks away with something!
Battlefield Rooms: Public vs. Private
Battlefield Mode offers two types of rooms to suit every type of player:
1. Public Rooms
Public rooms are open to all players and come in various sizes:
- 2-Player Room
- 4-Player Room
- 8-Player Room
- 16-Player Room
Each room size has three entry fee options in two different in-game currencies:
Entry Fees in vLOE:
- 50 vLOE
- 500 vLOE
- 1500 vLOE
Entry Fees in vUSD:
- $1 vUSD
- $10 vUSD
- $50 vUSD
Note:
- vLOE can be swapped for LOE, and vUSD can be swapped for USDC using the in-game wallet.
- Higher entry fees result in larger prize pools but may attract more competitive players.
2. Private Rooms
Want to play with friends or host your own mini tournament? Private rooms let you customize the experience:
- Create Your Room: Set the room name, size, entry fee, in-game currency, and a password for access.
