Legends of Elysium — September 2024 Recap & Roadmap

--

The Legends of Elysium project has made significant strides over the past few months and is gearing up for even more exciting developments.

Summer 2024: Milestones and successes

In July and August 2024, Legends of Elysium entered into an exciting partnership with Big Time. The MVRK Airdrop Campaign (Phase 2) kicked off, giving players the chance to earn Space Mavericks rewards through various modes. Additionally, Season 1 introduced NFT Magic Books, bringing a new layer of strategic depth to the gameplay.

The project also gained significant visibility on platforms like CoinGecko in both the USA and the UK, demonstrating its increasing popularity in the Web3 space.

Desktop version & Steam launch

One of the most anticipated developments is the release of the desktop version of Legends of Elysium on Steam this fall. The team is not only focusing on Steam but also preparing to launch the game on other prominent Web2 and Web3 platforms, ensuring that the game reaches a broader audience. This move is critical in bridging the gap between Web3 technology and traditional gaming platforms, providing millions of players from various ecosystems access to the immersive world of Legends of Elysium.

The advanced prototype of the desktop version is already up and running, and the team is in the final stages of testing and debugging, ensuring a smooth launch. With the release drawing near, excitement is building within the community, and this major milestone is expected to significantly boost the game’s exposure.

New website & Battlefield feature

The upcoming release of a new website is another major development that will be a game-changer for the player community. Currently in the final stages of development, the website will be a dedicated hub for players, offering a streamlined experience with new features and enhancements that cater to both seasoned players and newcomers alike. The new platform will also offer unique surprises, further enhancing engagement and retention.

In addition to the new website, the team is also introducing the Battlefield feature, which is expected to dramatically transform gameplay. This new mechanic will add a tactical layer to the game, encouraging players to strategize on a whole new level, creating more dynamic and engaging battles. The Battlefield feature will undoubtedly add to the richness of the gameplay, making it more appealing to both casual players and hardcore fans of strategy games.

In-Game wallet solution

As part of the team’s commitment to making the game more accessible to a broader audience, Legends of Elysium is introducing an In-Game wallet solution. This innovative feature will allow players to manage their assets and conduct blockchain transactions directly within the game, eliminating the need for third-party wallets or external services. By simplifying this process, the team is lowering the barrier to entry for Web2 gamers who may not be familiar with blockchain technology, creating a seamless and user-friendly experience.

This In-Game Wallet is also set to provide better integration of in-game assets, making it easier for players to acquire, trade, and manage their NFTs and tokens without leaving the gaming environment.

Mobile version on the horizon

Following the launch of the desktop version, Legends of Elysium will quickly shift focus to the development of its mobile version. This will mark a major expansion, allowing players to enjoy the game on-the-go, and further broadening the reach of the platform. The mobile version will ensure that players can seamlessly continue their adventures in Legends of Elysium no matter where they are, driving more engagement from both casual and dedicated gamers alike.

Marketing strategy & Community engagement

Legends of Elysium has participated in a few AMA events, such as the one hosted by Gameswift, where the project was invited to share expert insights on Web3 gaming. As the desktop version nears its launch, a more extensive marketing campaign will be rolled out to target both Web3 and Web2 gamers. This will build momentum leading up to the mobile release, ensuring a broader audience is engaged.

To further increase exposure, Legends of Elysium is nominated in the People’s Choice Awards on gam3s.gg. The community is encouraged to support the project by voting for it, helping boost its visibility within the blockchain gaming community. You can cast your vote here.

Additionally, the Genesis OGs were recently rewarded with Empty Tomes, and more benefits are on the way. The new player-focused website is also nearing completion, promising surprises and enhanced features.

Draconis Expansion & Future content

Following the release of the desktop version and the Battlefield feature, the team is already looking ahead to future content expansions. One of the most exciting upcoming additions is the Draconis expansion, which will introduce a new set of cards, unique mechanics, and powerful strategies that players can use to enhance their decks and dominate the battlefield.

This expansion will provide fresh content for the community and keep players engaged long after the initial launch. Additionally, the team is also planning a new race expansion, which will bring more diversity to the game’s universe, offering players new races with distinct abilities and lore to explore.

Infrastructure expansion for global accessibility

Currently, Legends of Elysium operates with servers based in Europe, but plans are underway to expand the game’s infrastructure globally. New servers will be set up in Asia and other regions, ensuring that players around the world can enjoy a smoother, more responsive gaming experience. Expanding the server network will reduce latency and improve performance, particularly for players in regions outside of Europe, leading to a better and more equitable experience for all.

This infrastructure expansion is crucial as the game grows, particularly in regions where the Web3 gaming market is experiencing rapid growth, such as Asia. With additional servers in place, Legends of Elysium will be well-positioned to support its expanding player base.

Crosschain integration for enhanced blockchain accessibility

Although Legends of Elysium currently operates on the Polygon blockchain, the team is already in discussions with multiple blockchain networks to expand its reach through crosschain integration. By making the game accessible across various blockchains, Legends of Elysium will be able to cater to a more diverse range of players and blockchain communities, ensuring greater flexibility and expanding its ecosystem.

This crosschain approach will provide players with more options for managing their assets, making it easier to participate in the game regardless of which blockchain they prefer to use. This will also open up opportunities for partnerships and collaborations with other blockchain projects, driving further growth and innovation within the game.

Conclusion

With a packed roadmap that includes the launch of the desktop version on Steam, the introduction of the Battlefield feature, a new In-Game wallet, the upcoming mobile version, and plans for future expansions like Draconis and new race expansions, Legends of Elysium is poised to make a lasting impact on the gaming landscape. The team’s ongoing infrastructure expansion and crosschain strategy ensure that players from all over the world, regardless of their blockchain preferences, will have a seamless and engaging experience.

As Legends of Elysium continues to grow and evolve, the community can look forward to more innovative features, expanded content, and major updates that will keep the game fresh and exciting for both new and veteran players alike.
